These recently refurbished studio apartments have full-sized kitchens with many conveniences such as microwave oven, automatic dishwasher, popcorn popper and blender. Although the Waianae Coast does not offer a very wide variety of restaurants, there are several in each category from which to choose. Personally, however, we prefer to get some fresh fish from one of the local markets and either barbecue it near the swimming pool or nuke it in our apartment.
 
   

 

 

 

 

 

The living area will comfortably accommodate 3 adults.  There is ample storage space for luggage, groceries, beach mats and souvenirs.  Ocean breezes and a ceiling fan keep you comfortably cool. With your own kitchen, reserved parking, plenty of reading material and even a mailbox key, Makaha Shores becomes your home for however long you stay. 
 
   

 

 

 

 

 

The apartments are carefully thought out to provide you with the maximum space to enjoy the amazing setting, no matter what the weather. The unit pictured here, #409, has two choices for sleeping. There's a double=size futon and a twin bed, pictured, with bolsters to serve as a couch. The apartment is especially attractive with matching yellow, floral-print upholstery and original Hawaiian-themed wood carvings throughout.

 

 

 

 

 

PoolAmidst lovely landscaping, you can relax beside our swimming pool.  Nearby is a plumeria-shaded barbecue and picnic area.  Of course the beautiful Pacific Ocean with pods of whales passing during the winter months is just steps away.  The ocean, beach and Waianae Mountains provide an ever-changing panorama, which you can enjoy from many perspectives.   

 

 

 

Prices begin at $525 per week, plus tax.  Rates go down for longer stays and up (of course, but only slightly) during the winter peak season.
